The walk begins at the car park at the western end of Loch Morlich and follows a broad forestry track to Badaguish Outdoor Centre (for the handicapped), situated in a pine forest. Clearance of some of the forest has opened up what must be one of the best views in the Glenmore area, looking to the northern Cairngorm corries. Then, after a short(200m) walk along the ski road from Glenmore Shop (toilets), the route follows the south side of Loch Morlich back to the car park. Points of interest en route are the panoramic view mentioned, the Forestry Commission Visitor Centre (near Glenmore Shop) and the Reindeer Centre (near the Visitor Centre).
