A fairly easy walk with few direction changes to find, though with one quite steep descent along a rough path and a steep road-walking climb later between Lathkill Dale and Over Haddon.
Most of the route is along field-paths and tracks, though there are short sections of road-walking on village roads through Youlgreave and Over Haddon. Some sections beside the River Wye can become boggy, though many of the worst areas now have raised decking across. There are two parallel paths in this area; after wet weather the left-hand path further from the riverbank may be the better option.
The pub used on this walk is The George Hotel in Youlgreave. This is a walker-friendly pub opposite the church. They appreciate muddy boots being covered. There is a good-choice menu at reasonable prices, even with takeaway fish and chips on offer. They offer a good choice of real ales with Moorland's Old Speckled Hen as a regular and with frequently changing guest beers.

Don't know if the lay out of parking round the cattle market has changed since this walk was described but found the first steps confusing and took a while to find the correct route. Once on the correct route a good walk with a good range of scenery. Some quite steep bits for a walk graded 'easy'.
