Baltonsborough - Barton St David - Keinton Mandeville - West Lydford - Southwood - Baltonsborough

A lowland walk of interesting diversity from St Dunstan's home village! St Dunstan was born in Baltonsborough in 909AD and became in turn, Abbot of Glastonbury, Bishop of Worcester, Bishop of London and Archbishop of Canterbury from 959 to 988. The route includes pleasant field-paths and a stretch along a riverbank.

Enjoyable flat walk, on well maintained and defined paths and bridleways. Muddy in places after rain, bit didn't spoil it for us. St. Peters Church at Lydford was the perfect spot half way round for lunch. Whether the guide has been updated since Stephen walked it? but the wooden gate is definitely there!

On most of the instructions no distances are given so its difficult to gauge where you are We had a particular issue at waypoint 12 we took a footpath right on the corner as the river bends and we assumed going straight uphill with the orchard on the left but found no gate
