A very pleasant and easy walk from the edge of Banbury and taking in the area by the historic Wykham Mill. Here the course of the Sor Brook is followed to where the waters cascade down over a weir, creating a most pretty picture. The route then heads up to Broughton Grange, overlooking marvellous landscape and through a part of the gardens, before going on towards Rectory Farm and Wykham Lane. The final lap passes Crouch Farm and goes on to reach the Salt Way to complete the circuit.

Although the Salt Way is still intact, the first path off it is now closed and housing estate is being built on it. The walk can now begin at point 3 opposite the cottages on the A361. The footpath sign is quite hidden in a ditch and the stile has not been maintained, so access to the path is by climbing 2 fences. The A361 is very busy but the route from point 6 remains a pleasant one.
