This lovely walk starts at the staithe in Barton Turf. From this car park the route follows quiet country lanes through a roadside nature reserve. This is a beautiful section of wetlands that is packed with wildlife. On our walk through we saw a treecreeper, very difficult to see because of their small size.

After the nature reserve the route follows public footpaths to the secluded church near Barton Turf. The church sits on a small hill by itself, with just the vicarage for company. This can be a lovely part of the walk just before the harvest, with the surrounding fields alive with wildlife and crops. Continuing past the church, the route passes nearby a Ministry of Defence station. It appears to be disused now but was once part of RAF Neatishead just a couple of miles south. After this the route follows quiet country lanes back to the staithe in Barton Turf.
