Beaford - Upcott Barton - Great Barlington - Roborough - Beaford

A walk from Beaford, the home of Beaford Arts, where each year children and young people visit to take part in courses to develop their creativity and from where a touring scheme is organised to take live events to non-traditional venues. Beaford is a pretty, unspoilt village in the heart of rural North Devon. It has an excellent pub and a pretty church. The walk will take you down quiet lanes, across open fields, through woodland and across streams, far from the traffic and the main tourist areas.

Nice short walk in beautiful countryside. Some tricky spots with nettles, brambles and thistles on barely walked paths, also crop fields and meadows with no sign of the path (June). The Globe was a lovely place for a late lunch after completing the walk. The height gain needs correcting, we made it about 250m, not 25!
