The walk through the forest passes along wide forestry tracks and then climbs on a narrow footpath through the trees to join further wide tracks with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Dropping down the track, you see Llyn Llywelyn between the trees and circle round to a picnic site at the edge of the lake, before returning to the car park with further views across the valley. The Welsh Highland Railway is now completed along the edge of the forest.

Walk was good for the dog and was able to get round the yellow route without any problems. Rain made it a bit miserable but the views were amazing and it was a fun afternoon.
