This is a long but fantastic walk mostly along well-maintained tracks and well-trodden paths, to the top of a remote Munro with fantastic views over Perthshire and toward the Monadhliath and Cairngorms. There are no really steep ascents and the main challenges are the length and the remoteness. It is possible to deal with the length by breaking your walk into a two-day expedition and overnighting at Allt Scheicheachan Bothy as we did. If doing so please make sure you follow the Bothy Code at

Although there are no significant navigational challenges, this remains a high and remote mountain walk; in bad weather and poor visibility, navigation skills will be required and appropriate clothing carried. In winter, appropriate equipment such as ice axes and crampons should be carried.
