Beinn Mholach is a rarely visited Corbett, located to the north of Glen Rannoch. It is however, well worth the visit for the views from the centrally located mountain are superb, from Ben Nevis in the west, round through the Ben Alder massif, Drumochter, Beinn A' Ghlo and Schiehallion. The first part of the walk is along a well-maintained track, after that it is four-wheel drive tracks and moorside. Wildlife abounds and we saw Arctic hares, grouse, ptarmigan, frogs and lizards and deer. The walk can be combined with Walk 5614 - Loch Garry Traverse, or the walk can be made a two-day walk by staying over at Duinish Bothy.
