The route starts at the church in Belton-in-Rutland and soon leaves the village by way of wide and well-used bridleways. At the River Chater the valley is followed to Leigh Lodge, after which ley line enthusiasts will revel in the approach to Ridlington, with the straight path visible across a wide valley and leading directly to the church, prominent on the far hill. Further bridleways bring walkers back to Belton.
