You start from Berkeley, from a car park opposite public toilets near the centre. You pass the Jenner House, a church with detached tower and Berkeley Castle, before heading off alongside a river as it wiggles its way out of the town, eventually joining the Severn Estuary. You go along the estuary for a stretch with plenty of wildlife before reaching Sharpness Docks. You pass through Newtown and then cross fields (including passing a moated farmhouse) and return to Berkeley.
