Besset - St-Julien-de-Gras-Capou

Starting from the village of Besset, the walk takes a well-defined path along the valley of the Risseau de Coume Longue. It joins a country lane (D307) and passes through the hamlet of Montcabirol. Just after the hamlet the route joins a track which leaves the road and crosses the Risseau de Mazeroles, then climbs through pastures up to the hamlet of Francilles. After a short time along the D7, the path drops down through fields to the village of St-Julien-de-Gras-Capou. The route then takes a farm track climbing through fields and woodland before descending to the D13 just east of Senesse-de-Senabugue. Turning away from the village, take the country lane for about 1km before turning off along another farm track and steadily climbing up the Pic d'Estelle. From here there are wonderful views across the surrounding countryside before the path descends to meet the D13, which you follow back to Besset.
