Biddulph - Harriseahead - Mow Cop - Gillow Heath - Biddulph

Biddulph, which is situated between Congleton and Stoke-on-Trent, is the start point for this wonderfully scenic walk. You are straight into the Staffordshire countryside immediately from the start and are soon up into the village of Mow Cop with its folly castle and commanding views across Cheshire, Staffordshire and parts of Shropshire and Manchester. After savouring the view from the castle, it opens up further as you walk along Congleton Edge before dropping down to Gillow Heath and returning along the peaceful Biddulph Valley Way back to the start. This is a not too strenuous walk for all, with excellent, far-reaching views.

Excellent walk, good for all the family. Done this walk on 5-7-12 and the long wet grass and mud was awful on parts of the walk, hopefully should be drying up soon. Only 1 update, which is, at waymark 15, be careful not to miss the signed path on the right, because the entrance is overgrown and the signpost is hidden in the trees.
