This has a 'little bit of everything'. It starts and ends by the famous Bingley Five Rise set of locks and then includes walking along riverside, canal towpath, woodland, parkland and some delightfully bleak moorland.

On the way you visit the historic village of Saltaire with its recently acquired world heritage status. There are stunning views over the Aire Valley and fascinating prehistoric cup-and-ring markings on Bingley Moor.

Walked this on 17.07.2011. Took us a good eight hours with quite a few stops. Directions good, easy walking apart from the road to Dick Hudson's pub which was a bit difficult with the dog, as this road can become very busy at times.

Walked this on 23.10.10 - took a good six hours with minimal breaks - fairly easy walking & directions are straightforward. Look out for the weir which is magnificent and also the splended views as you start the trek onto Bingley moor.
