The aim of the walk was to visit another of the Stanza Stones, but it also includes a section of a pack-horse trail, an old marker, the Aiggin Stone and part of a Roman road (at least, marked on the map as such). The walk is very simple at first as it uses reservoir tracks, but when the pack-horse track is followed, the climb and the fact that much of the track has been swallowed up by the Pennine bog makes it much more difficult. Although short, the walk is best not attempted in misty conditions as the lowest point is 400m.
