Blagdon, Ubley, Compton Martin, Blagdon Lake and Holt Organic Garden

You start off in the village of Blagdon, walk above the lake, pass through the village of Ubley, then walk to Compton Martin (with its duck-pond), before returning, closer to the banks of the lake. You can visit the garden on the way out (Waymark 8) or back (Waymark 24), but check their website for opening times.
There is one longish stretch on a quiet road.

We set out on this walk on an unusually warm day in March 2012. It was lovely and very enjoyable with some fantastic views. The directions are good and easy to follow. If you are planning to take your dog, most of the stiles were not dog friendly, even for a little pooch. We had a deerhound and a collie with us, so plenty of lifting!
