Blagdon Lake - Butcombe - Walnut Tree Farm - Babylon - Blagdon Lake

The initial stretch is a pleasant picnic spot area, with a few benches. You then take fields to Butcombe Village before joining the Two Rivers Way for a section to reach Walnut Tree Farm. The stretch from here takes you to Lower Strode and then through fields to the gloriously named Nempnett Thrubwell. But don't blink, or you may miss it! A section on quiet country lanes returns you to Blagdon Lake and then back to the start.

On 5th September 2018, this was a wonderful walk in perfect walking weather. Great views. Very quiet. Mainly long, lush meadows and green, cow pastures. The grass was long, but dry. Quite hard work. I followed the lanes after 16. Hardly any vehicles. Highly recommended.
