Even though the village of Blandford St Mary, our starting point of this walk, is small, it still boasts its own superstore, DIY shop and major brewery! Badger Brewery, owned by Hall and Woodhouse, was founded in 1777 and the village grew around it. The walk starts and stays on The Stour Valley Way for three miles, whilst on it going through the small village of Bryanston, skirting the edge of its very grand public independent school and reaching the even smaller village of Durweston. Then it's onto rolling Dorset countryside with far-reaching views, with farmland and quiet country roads followed by paddocks bringing you back to the start of the walk.
