This walk traverses the Blencathra Ridge from the Blencathra Centre to Scales, taking in close views of the spectacular Sharp Edge and Scales Tarn. This route enables those either too young, or perhaps too old, to tackle Sharp Edge itself to still enjoy the views from the rest of the Blencathra (or Saddleback) ridge.

Easily accessible from the A66, and close to Keswick, the ridge towers quite magnificently above the road.
