This is an enjoyable easy walk, no stiles and the country lanes have little or no traffic on them. The route goes along the long-distance path, Angles Way and is beside field edges and along tracks. There is an excellent pub en route and Hopton is an attractive town full of history. The walk wanders in and out of Norfolk and Suffolk.

Thelnetham windmill, which is well-signed on road signs, is maintained and operated by volunteers. The mill is open to the public once per month and the opening dates are shown on the gate. The volunteers have been busy maintaining the mill and making improvements to the facilities.

Lovely straightforward walk on a hot summers day. Big skies, green fields and beautiful rural villages. Note pub The White Horse in Thelnetham is now closed and road walking into Redgrave was quite busy on the day we walked (a Sunday in June)
