This is an enjoyable walk, mostly tree-lined tracks and fields edges; there is one stile en route. There are two pubs, though the Red Lion does not serve food. The Plough serves food seven days a week. Blundeston lies not far from Lowestoft and has a connection with Charles Dickens' book David Copperfield, which was part-filmed there. The route is partly along the Waveney Way long-distance route.
