From the car park a good forest road climbs steeply up through the forest for about a mile. Soon the views start to open out with the magnificent Ben Ledi on your left. The road now starts to level off and allows you to stride out and look ahead to Loch Lubnaig in the distance. As you approach the path up to the Munro called Ben Ledi your route turns right down through the trees to the river and back to the car park and a well-earned refreshment in the Lade Inn.

Hi Deborah glad to hear that you enjoyed Bochastle Hill; it's a fine half day walk. My origional route was eight miles long this would have included Callendrade Forest, in it's self a fine easy 4 mile walk from Callander. Thanks again for your comments. Bob Sawers

Lovely walk. Forestry work means that views have been opened up in the first part of the walk. As you walk up to waymark 2 you are rewarded with a lovely view towards Loch Venachar to the South.
