A very attractive walk around the countryside of Bodicote, much of it on good surfaces and hard tracks, making it ideal for winter or wet-weather conditions. Amongst the points of interest along the way are Bodicote Mill, near the beginning of the route and Lower Grove Mill at the end of it. The remains of the windmill on the Grove Road awaits restoration.
The delightful hamlet or village of Milton has a public house which is actually older than the church it stands next to, retaining some structural parts and details dating back to the 16th and 17th Centuries. The pretty cottages and houses are a joy and add another element of interest to the walker, before the disused railway embankment takes the tree-lined route away again, towards Adderbury, then Bodicote.
There are plenty of good views and a chance for the birdwatcher to be well-rewarded in quiet, pleasant rural surrounds.
