Walk starts at Clock Face Park, once the site of Clock Face Colliery but now a country park. Upon leaving the park the route follows 'Ladies Walk', which runs between Bold New Hall and Bold Old Hall, so called because the ladies of the two halls used it as their constitutional.
(See Additional Info' for halls history). After site of Bold Old Hall the route briefly passes along Warrington Road, which has pub and cafe options. A cross country section then leads via disused rail track to Sutton Manor, site of another mine which now is home of The Dream sculpture. Final section of walk leads back to start.
