A circular walk; we pass alongside the river in this tranquil valley before climbing in woodland and returning through the beautiful countryside of this area. The walk is off-road except for one quiet country lane. Boscastle itself is well worth the visit, with several unique shops and a museum of witchcraft. The sheltered harbour is a magnet for tourists.

Please note: bearing in mind the devastating flash floods experienced in Boscastle during August 2004, the guide for this walk is now slightly innacurate. The start of walk is now from the road instead of the car park - but this is signposted. The bridge has not yet been replaced and notices at the car park say there are no crossings; when you walk there though, there are stepping-stones across the river that are passable with care (see picture top right of this page) but this route is not advisable for the less than able-bodied or young children.
