Starting from St Peter's Church, the walk follows the footpath down to Bottesford Beck. Bottesford Beck Linear Park is a popular walking area and only recently developed. Strategically placed signs show the extent of the Beck Park and flora and fauna that can be seen. Passing by the Pink Pig Farm gives you an opportunity to visit the café and the shop, else the walk continues west along roads and pathways, before heading south again along roadways and paths. This area has and is still used to excavate sand for the building industries and the fishing ponds around the area are testament to this. The countryside walk emerges onto Holme Lane Messingham and continues along the roadside, eventually to pick up the footpath along the latter stages of Holme Lane. Emerging onto Northfield Road, the walk takes you back to St Peter's Church along the Bottesford Beck Linear Park.
