This is a great walk for getting that hill-walking feeling without actually having to do too much climbing. The bracken-covered top of Stanton Moor gives great views out over the surrounding Derbyshire countryside and as the walk is quite short, it's great for kids and older walkers too. The whole of the moor top is a scheduled monument and there are lots of prehistoric things to see. Some rocks and boulders on the moor have been climbed and have handholds for use, including the famous Cork Stone. Why not take some lunch and make an afternoon of it?
