The start and end of this walk use sections of the Essex Way. This is an excellent path and affords superb views at various points. In addition, on this walk you pass at least six farms, a number of magnificent halls and an interesting vineyard with opportunities for wine-tasting and / or purchase. There is an opportunity to shorten or vary the walk at Waymark 9.

Excellent detailed directions. I would urge you to do the longer walk as from Point 9 is the prettiest part, and I imagine this section would be even better when the leaves are turning.
