Starting in Bramford, this circular walk takes you along the last 4.5 miles of the Gipping Valley River Path into Ipswich. Getting out of Ipswich to return to Bramford involves walking through Gyppeswyk Park and Chantry Park and then using quiet country lanes and field-paths through Sproughton.

The section along the river path is beautiful and there are plenty of spots to sit down and maybe enjoy a picnic. At Waymark 9 using a slight detour you can visit Ipswich Town Centre with its vast selection of shops and historical buildings and also check out the marina, where you will find refreshments and a huge array of stunning boats. Without the detour, refreshments can be found at The Station Hotel pub between Waymarks 9 and 10.

Both the parks are a delight to walk through but careful navigation is required through Chantry Park due to the number of paths going in all directions. But by observing the directional arrows on the waymark photos, this shouldn't be a problem.

All paths were clear and dry (May 2022) making this an ideal family day out.
