Bramshill Plantation - Blackwater Path - Eversley - Bramshill Plantation

This gentle walk travels in and around the parish of Eversley on the Hampshire / Berkshire border and has a variety of landscapes to keep the average walker interested. One recurring theme of this walk is the number of times you pass under pylons. This has prompted this walk being called the 'pylon walk' during its investigation phase!

Starting from an area of woodland near the Bramshill Plantation, the walk heads through Lower Common before reaching the ford at the River Blackwater. The route next follows the River Blackwater Trail into Eversley before visiting Eversley Cross, its elaborate buildings and two pubs. The route then returns to the start under the pylons near Lower Eversley Copse and St Mary's Church before reaching the Three Castles Path in Heath Warren Wood. The final section of the walk is through more Forestry Commission land before ending at the start under the pylons once more.
