The walk starts in the quaint village of Brearton with its stone-built cottages. The route then heads out into the countryside on farm tracks with open views of the surrounding hills. Farnham, another pretty village where there are a number of interesting houses, is passed through. The route leaves Farnham along a country lane and passes through someone's garden which has been adapted as a mini-golf course!
Afterwards there is a nature reserve and an abundance of wildlife. The route passes farmland and farm tracks to reach the village of Scotton, where there is a number of pretty cottages. A short distance from here over a few fields leads the walker back to Brearton.
