This walk is a good introduction to the Provence Vert region. Starting in the pretty medieval town of Brignoles, you climb due south up a wooded slope to reach a sharp ridge overlooking Brignoles. You follow the ridge east to a magnificent table d'orientation overlooking almost the whole Var and Provence Verte region. Following the ridge, you descend to the chapelle Saint Sébastien above the small village of Camps-la Source, then turn down into the valley on the north side of the ridge to visit the source of the Bardel (Le Font de Bardel) and the amphitheatre. There are many informative plaques describing the flora of the region and you return over the Puy de Fassy, the original prehistoric farming area from which Brignoles developed.
