After passing through the tiny village of Brimpsfield the route crosses pasture and arable land with lovely far-reaching views. It then passes through a beech-wood with bluebells, wood anemones and wild garlic in spring to reach Climperwell. The paths in the next stretch can be a bit muddy after rain but it's usually easy to avoid the mud by going along the bank on either side of the track. You pass a lake surrounded by trees and then follow a tiny stream through mixed woodland, before climbing up the hillside to reach Caudle Green.

Caudle Green is a small hamlet with fine Cotswold houses and traditional stone cottages. The walk goes through the main part of the hamlet and descends to a peaceful grassy valley with scrubland and then woodland on either side and another tiny stream along the bottom. This is an excellent spot for birdwatching or for a picnic. You follow the stream up to some more lakes at Brimpsfield Park. After a stretch along a farm road with excellent views, you reach the village of Brimpsfield.

Excellent walk, with lots of variation from open fields to woodland. Would be a bit muddy in one section in the middle.
