This short gem of a walk offers a snapshot of Middle Hill House Estate, once home to the late Sir Thomas Phillipps, an English antiquary and book collector who amassed the largest collection of manuscript material in the 19th Century. Often missed by visitors to Broadway Tower, Middle Hill House displays a stunning treescape in the finest of grounds with fantastic far-reaching views. Other buildings just a few metres from the main house include the 'Octagon' and 'Pump House', which have recently been restored. Walkers are reminded that this is a private estate and should keep on the waymarked footpaths.
