From the charming village of Broadwell, this is a lovely Cotswold walk which visits two more beautiful villages, Lower Oddington and Upper Oddington. The countryside scenes are a delight to the eye, with patchwork fields, trees and streams in this green and pleasant land that remains a constant and wonderful part of England.

Walked on a sunny Sunday in April. Good views. We thought the villages visited were lovely.

We amended this walk just over 12 months ago and we found it to be extremely pleasant and trouble free. Many walks involve some road walking which cannot be avoided, but we cannot predict what traffic will be like on any particular day. We do not do walks with dogs in mind and there is no reference that this is good for dogs... that is the walkers choice. This walk has been downloaded many times and apart from the problem with the hidden sign, which we amended, no other negative comments have ever been made. This is a designated area of outstanding beauty in the Cotswolds.

Given the peppering of superlatives throughout the description, this walk was really disappointing - countryside was flat and quite dull and the villages were soulless and over-preened. Very un-dog and un-people friendly: large stretches on narrow fast roads without pavements. We were sharing roads with many Rangerovers travelling at 60 mph and it was really quite dangerous. The only walk of hundreds we've done that we wouldn't recommend.

At wm 3 we've amended text, though we could not imagine it being on the left, as that would mean walking backwards. Sydenham "cottages" has clearly been added to the original sign, so we've added that too but the map refers to farm and makes no difference to walk instructions. Wm 5 was obvious once reached, but the sign was caught up in the hedge which had been cut (slashed) as you can see in the new picture.
