From Brockholes the walk goes through houses in the village before passing uphill though woodland and fields to the top of the Thurstonland Bank, a steep hill but worth the effort. The route then passes Marsh Hall, a seventeenth century, small hall. Walk along Hall Ing Road, a quiet lane, along Green Side, to Wood End. Then go down through Clough Wood and over the railway line to reach Stocksmoor.
Great views, but one steep hill to get them.
