Broughton - Flint Hill - Brown Dod - Wether Law - Pykestane - Green Law - Broomyside - Broughton

This is a circuit of a section of the Broughtons with varied terrain, a short steep climb and unbeatable views. Starting at the walkers' car park at Broughton Place (NT 119374), the walk follows the John Buchan Way, which is clearly marked, towards the Hopehead Burn, then climbs to a group of small hills where the views become increasingly impressive. Don't forget to look behind you.

In winter, especially in snow, the terrain becomes more difficult but the navigation is always practical, with fences along all of the more exposed section. If you can remain fairly quiet you will almost certainly see deer as you climb.
