The area to the West of the Weaverham by-pass (A49) is physically close to the village but quite difficult to access, hence not much walked. This circuit visits the valley of the Grange Brook, which is crossed twice. The route also crosses Cuddington Brook. The route is very typical of the area with flower rich hedges well populated by birds and small mammals.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, more people have explored their local paths so this route may not be as underused in future. It might still be prudent to carry a pair of secateurs in case any of the stiles are badly overgrown. This route is outstanding for stile enthusiasts - there are about twenty! "About" is appropriate because some may well have collapsed by the time you get there.
