Starting from the main beach at Bude, we walk along a beautiful part of the North Cornwall coast to Northcott Beach, where we head inland for a while in the beautiful Cornish countryside with ample opportunity for the walker to enjoy the changing landscape of cliffs, fields and beaches of this rugged coast. Along the way glimpses of wildlife may be seen as well. We follow farm tracks to Sandymouth Bay, where the walker will find a welcome break to enjoy a leisurely picnic or refreshments at the small NT cafe, before restarting the walk along the rugged coastline and beaches.

We did this walk yesterday, a windy but bright January day. We enjoyed the walk although it took us a bit longer than 1 and a half hours. A small point, at point 6 the white house is being repainted a rather nice grey/blue colour. Definitely print out the map and if you have a digital version of the OS map on a phone or gps it will prove really helpful as in a couple of places we weren't convinced which was the right track. This is a varied walk and it is definitely the best way round to do it as the views of the coast, on the return walk, are brilliant. The steep steps at the end are better to do going down than up. We took our time and went carefully down these steps only to step aside to watch a young man, a runner we had seen earlier, run down the steps. Thank you for publishing this walk.
