This walk is beside the creeks on the outward journey, where wading and seabirds can be seen. There are also a lot of sailing boats moored and you pass the mussel beds, also the site of the third century Roman fort. The return journey is along country lanes, tracks and across Barrow Common.

Loved this walk! Views, little lanes and good clear paths. Could easily be done in reverse giving the estuary views on the return leg. Walked on a very cold, crispy but sunny January day.

A terrific walk that has a bit of everything. The marshes, the town, the historic quay, countryside and common land in the latter stages. As you walk towards the common its worth taking a look behind you for some great views of the North Sea. The instructions are spot on. The seafood cabin at point 5 is well worth a look, the crayfish sandwich was superb.
