This short and easy stroll is along moorland paths around the visitor centre at Dromore, in the Cairnsmore of Fleet National Nature Reserve in the very heart of Glorious Galloway. There are two dominating viewpoints to the walk: the imposing Clints of Dromore and the old railway viaduct over the Big Water of Fleet, seen here in dramatic close-up!
Information for Wheelchair Users: the short stretch along a moorland path is unsuitable for wheelchairs, but the section from Waymark 06 (reachable by vehicle) to the end of the walk is wheelchair-friendly.
Information for Dog Owners: subject always to the normal precautions to be observed by dog-owners when walking in sheep country, this walk is considered suitable for biddable dogs.
