This is a gentle undulating walk that can be undertaken at any time of the year because very few stretches get muddy. Most of the walk is on grass or metalled surfaces.

Emmaus Village (www.emmausvillagecarlton.org.uk) is a charity that accommodates and trains homeless people to recycle almost anything with a useful life that has been donated by the general public. Furniture is renovated, bicycles are repaired, electrical goods are checked and guaranteed and then they are put on display for sale to the general public. It is a place made for browsing and inevitably you come away with something that you wondered how you ever managed to do without!
