Carnon Downs (near Truro)-Penpol – Loe Beach circular

From Carnon Downs the ramble begins with a pleasant cross-country section bringing us down to Penpol Creek and its little boatyard. Next we head across country to Harcourt and from there we have an easy country lane ramble and a steep descent to popular Loe Beach with its friendly little café. From the beach we retrace our footsteps uphill a little before heading through open country to the unusual St Feock Church with its separate steeple. From here we head inland across country to rejoin our outward route at Penpol. From here we can head across country or take the lower lane leading to Devoran before climbing up past Narobo Farm and heading north round Higher Devoran Farm to cross the A39 again and return to Carnon Downs.
