This is a walk just outside the Peak District National Park on the outskirts of Stalybridge. It starts at a car park in the village of Carrbrook and continues along several suburban roads to reach the Pennine Bridleway (PBW). It follows the PBW up to the lower slopes of Harridge Pike before walking up the hillside. After a section up and around the hillside you drop down towards the first of four reservoirs to reach a lane (waterworks access road). You pass above the second and third reservoirs before crossing to the opposite side of the fourth reservoir. The walk then continues uphill to pass the fourth reservoir below you before dropping down towards the embankment. The walk then continues downhill to reach the edge of a fifth reservoir, which you walk alongside for a short distance before walking up a slope to reach a road. The road is then followed to reach the hamlet of Sun Green. The final section is across fields and down a lane to reach the edge of the village before returning to the start point. In addition to following part of the Pennine Bridleway you follow part of the Tameside Trail. There are a number of information boards along the walk. At Waymarks 05 and / or 06 you can see parts of five counties.
