The route is along tracks, field edges and quiet country lanes, where in spring daffodils and primroses are found in the banks. The walk starts at the sandy beach car park, Cart Gap, so named because of the smuggling activities that went on here centuries ago.

A lovely short walk that set up my lazy Sunday very nicely. The car park at Cart Gap was pretty busy considering the walk was in March, I expect in the summer it's heaving. There is a really good Cafe on the approach road to Cart Gap, serves great food Friday - Monday (10-15.30pm). All walking instructions still in order, the church at P4, St. Andrews is very simple with the most amazing rood screen, its beautiful with what looks like original paints still visible.
