A pleasant walk from the ancient stone circle at Castlerigg down to Dale Bottom and through St John's in the Vale, with nice scenery throughout. This walk is entirely on surfaced footpaths, country lanes and clear, wide bridleways which make the walk particularly suitable for pushchairs and for those who wish to avoid rough tracks.
