This is a short and undemanding walk through delightful ancient woodland famous for its bluebells and summer migrants. It is in the care of Scottish Wildlife Trust.

Castramon? Carstramon? Castramont? Take your pick. It has been suggested that 'Castramon' is the correct spelling, though this is at odds with the SWT's notice-board and the Ordnance Survey's two versions! What is certain is that the bluebell season here, coupled with the territorial songs of the returning migrants, is enchanting, though the wood is a delight at any time.

Please note that there are no refreshments available on this walk.
