Starting off at the village hall near the edge of Catfield, the chosen route heads through the popular centre and then quickly off down a small country lane towards the open fields and nearby marshes and broads.

The hamlet of Wood Street is the first major landmark from Catfield, being just a twenty-minute walk away. Here the path passes through a small farm with many horses, a welcome and quite rare sight for this part of Norfolk. The route then heads down a section of path through open farmland and zigzags its way towards Sharp Street.

Sharp Street has many fantastic features, including some stunning woodland, open farmland and old buildings. The chosen route passes alongside some of the oldest buildings in the village, of which many are listed in order to protect them.

The final section to the walk heads down two small country lanes to complete a full circle of this stunning area. Along these country lanes there are more beautiful cottages and historical buildings for the passer-by to admire.
