Starting out from the all-year-round car park at the little cove of Chapel Porth, we follow the beautiful coastal path northwards towards St Agnes. The views are amazing and we pass well[preserved mine ruins. We finish the coastal path stretch by descending into Trevaunce Cove, where we can pause awhile to enjoy the pub's hospitality and learn a little of the history of this amazing place (see additional information). From here we climb up a little to take the footpath into St Agnes, which has much to interest and many more places for refreshment. Now we face a steady climb through timeless Cornish countryside to bring us to the summit of the beacon. After enjoying the stunning panoramas we have only to take the meandering footpath downwards that will bring us back to Chapel Porth.
