This is a lovely circular walk starting at Chappel and Wakes Colne Station in Essex. It's a fairly long walk but it's worth the effort. The route consists mainly of field-paths and quiet country lanes, apart from a short section along the Coggeshall Road.
En route you will pass through a few farms and through woodland and there is a stretch along Earls Colne Airfield where you will get the chance to see light aircraft take off. It is also the base for the Essex & Hertfordshire Air Ambulance Service.
Also you get a chance to see the magnificent viaduct at Chappel, which you pass under at the end of the walk.
All paths were clear, but there is a broken stile at Waymark 25 which needs care crossing and a broken plank footbridge at Waymark 27 where care is also required.
There are some lovely views to be had along this route.
